The Detroit Lions

Motor City Football

The Detroit Lions are a National Football League (NFL) team located in Detroit, Michigan. They play in the National Football Confrence (NFC) in the NFC North. Originally, they were known as the Portsmouth Spartans. This changed when they relocated to Detroit in 1934 and changed their name to fit the city. The official color of the Detroit Lions is "Honolulu Blue", which they frequently use alongside colors like silver or black for their jerseys and uniforms.

The Detroit Lions are most famously known for being a pathetically terrible team. There is a saying amongst Lions fans, being "Same Old Lions", meaning that no matter how much talent they have on their team, they will always find a way to fail. Historically, the Detroit Lions have had several superstar players in their roster. In their primes, Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, and Barry Sanders set records in the NFL that have yet to be beaten. Despite this, they have not been hosted in a super bowl, let alone win one.
